Last week for the first time-I had a 20 mile week! I feel pretty good about the possibility of being able to finish 13.1 miles. Although, I am positive I am going to hate every frickin' mile of it! As good as I feel after I've accomplished these new feats, I still do not love running a long ways. Which is an improvement 'cause I used to say that I was not a runner. Now I am a runner that doesn't like to go far! Like an under achieving runner. Yeah- that sounds about right.
Jamie and I ran 7.6 on Saturday and it went good. We should have thought out running west at 4:30 in the afternoon-the sun was really hot. I felt like I was sunburnt in a tanning bed with a hair dryer blowing on my face! We are about the same pace I think. I slow down more up the hills than she does. I'll work on that!
Sunday I didn't run since my knees were a little sore. I ran two miles yesterday and then climbed the M in Platteville. I like finding different places to run. West Mound Rd. is a nice quick run. I was not sure on the proper thing to do when you meet an Amish horse and buggy, so I crossed the road. I envisioned freaking the horse out and having a horrific horse on girl collision. Leaving 2 children in Mineral Point motherless and 26 children and 4 wives in Platteville fatherless and husbandless! Not too mention the poor horse's family. Wait, am I talking about the wrong religious sect? Yeah, I think I am...horses don't have families. My bad...either way tragedy avoided!!
