Well I finally did it. After giving it some thought I figured I would go for a 10 mile (exactly twice as far as I've EVER run) run out to the mound and back to see if I could do it before I would agree to run the half. Needless to say - I survived. Actually wasn't all that bad. The way out was the worst because it is mostly up hill but miles 6 - 10 were pretty easy even with a head wind. Drew and the kids met me (and Ben & Dana) at the mound with water and then checked back with us as we ran home to see if we needed anything. Ben and Dana thought that was pretty cool. I told them that when you travel with me we always go first class and I always bring my support team (the water boy and the 3 cheerleaders).
Princess - You have to stop popping those babies out so fast the drugs are WONDERFUL!!! I highly recommend them and was severely disappointed when they wouldn't give me any this last time even though I had specifically ordered them the moment they told me I was pregnant. Apparently a seven pound baby can crawl out when the last one that wnet through there was a nine pound bowling ball!!!
Mind over matter.
